Polyethylene pipes for gas supply (PE)
Polyethylene pipes for gas pipelines are made from primary raw materials of PE 100 grade according to GOST R50838-2011. Diameter range from 25 to 450 mm, working pressure up to 25 atm.
Pipes of small diameters (up to 110 mm.) are made in coils with winding from 50 m. to 200 m. depending on the diameter of the pipe.
Advantages:
Polyethylene pipes have significantly higher frost resistance, plasticity, resistance to the effects of aggressive chemical compounds, they are not afraid of electrochemical corrosion, the action of wandering currents. Polyethylene pipes are laid directly into the ground without special protection and insulation, which steel pipes need. They weigh 7 times less than steel of the same diameter and are supplied in coils. Since such pipes are easily cut and welded, the complexity of their installation is 2-3 times lower than steel. High ductility of polyethylene pipes and tensile strength make it possible to lay them in thick soils and in regions with increased seismic activity.
